Ski resorts face nowadays an increasing part of second home to the detriment of a decreasing local population. This established fact brings up major challenges related to local identity preservation. Studying urban planning through territorial resources proposes a territory reading which purpose is the local resources valorization in an expanding viewpoint. From the Houches’ case, we will understand how a town can, through a local planning document, promotes specific resources emergence. If the local resources valorization, which tourism is both driving force and fruit, follows the historical Chamonix valley developing model, its Houches’ scale application brings up precise regulation challenges for which urban shape is a powerful lever.Les...
