In the field of manufacturing, business aim to reduce both production preparation lead time and the cost, which can be realized by avoiding the traditional prototype assessment step at the designing and production preparation stage, by utilizing the products' 3DCAD data. To realize such goals the authors have been working on the study that proposes possible alternative plans for an operation as virtually animated operations, by automatically generating as many plans as the possible assembly sequences. This study proposes the method for calculating the time value, which enables to evaluate the animations from time aspect, by applying MTM and MODAPT methods employed in PTS method.
