The Adriamycin-resistant small cell lung carcinoma cell line, GLC4/ADR, showed large differences in cross-resistance to drugs such as Adriamycin, etoposide (VP-16), teniposide (VM-26), 4'-(9-acridinylamino)-methanesulfon-m-anisidide (m-AMSA), and mitoxantrone, which stimulate the formation of topoisomerase (Topo) II-DNA complexes.
