Objective: Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) suppresses the function of T-lymphocytes and is involved in immune escape of cancers. Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase catalyzes the initial rate-limiting step in the degradation of the essential amino acid tryptophan.
