The Bacillus methanolicus methanol dehydrogenase (MDH) is a decameric nicotinoprotein alcohol dehydrogenase (family III) with one Zn2+ ion, one or two Mg2+ ions, and a tightly bound cofactor NAD(H) per subunit.
