The simultaneous transplantation and intrathymic tolerance induction (STITTI) protocol induces a longlasting state of functional tolerance in over 90% of AO (RT1(u)) recipients transplanted with a fully MHC-incompatible PVG (RT1(c)) cardiac allograft.
