We present a polycarbonate (PC) microfluidic perfusion device for the cultivation of murine, precision-cut liver slices (PCLS). The design dimensions of this system are such that it is compatible with fluorescence microscopy for the observation of tissue and detection of fluorescently labeled markers. This system can thus be used for real-time monitoring of the uptake, metabolism and secretion of molecules by liver tissue from continuously flowing medium.</p
