New risk assessment tools in vascular surgery

For patients with a ruptured aortic aneurysm or a vascular surgery patients in general it is important to know which variables raise the risk of complications after treatment. But it is also important to know which patients gain the most from treatment. For patients with a ruptured aortic aneurysm a risk model is developed to calculate the risk of mortality prior to surgery.
