Background. In idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDC) an imbalance between myocardial oxygen consumption and supply has been postulated. Subclinical myocardial ischaemia may contribute to progressive deterioration of left ventricular function. The relation between regional myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) and contractile performance was investigated.Methods.
