From the presented chapters it may be concluded that pretransplant 31P-MRS and relaxometry in the clinical setting are yet not able to reliably predict liver transplantation outcome. Pretransplant MRI has clinical potential for the noninvasive detection of lesions which might prohibit transplantation. The value of 31 P-MRS for basic research in a clinical setting is clearly demonstrated
