The study investigated military government and educational development: A study of tertiary institutions development in South-South Region of Nigeria, 1967 – 1999. The need for this study is to ensure continuous and effective educational policies that will enhance an effective manpower development towards achieving a sustainable economy for national development. Based on this, three research questions were formulated as a guide to the study.
