The article discusses three principal components of the constructivist method of teaching English for specific purposes in non-linguistic tertiary schools: experiential teaching/learning, interactive teaching/learning and content-based instruction. It is postulated that practical implementation of the method in the teaching/learning process requires the introduction of blended teaching/learning where traditional students' work with the teacher and with each other is organically combined with on-line work. That work becomes an obligatory and very important part of the teaching/learning process and the tasks for on-line work have to be included even into textbooks
