Improving Learning Outcomes of PKN Subjects Through Group Work Methods of Class VI Students of SD Negeri 27 Kendari

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of group work methods in improving the learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD Negeri 27 Kendari in Civics subjects. The research subjects were students of class VI SD Negeri 27 Kendari with a total of 29 people consisting of 10 boys and 19 girls. The instruments in this study were: (a) observation sheet of student learning activities; (b) Observation sheet of teacher activities in teaching; and (c) student learning outcomes tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the students 'learning activities in cycle II experienced an increase from cycle 1. In the second cycle, the students' activities were in the good category with a value of 78.45%, when compared to the good category in the first cycle with a value of 49%. This shows that all weaknesses in student learning activities that appear in cycle I am resolved properly. Student learning outcomes in the second cycle were 86.21% better than that in the first cycle of 72.41%. This increase in learning outcomes occurs because of the application of group work methods. The application of the group work method can improve the learning outcomes of the VI-grade students of SD Negeri 27 Kendari in the Civics subject for the 2018/2019 academic year
