Surrealist structure and image in the work of Luis Bunuel

The works of Luis Bunuel, and, more particularly, his early and late films, are used as an example of how the surrealist approach functions, both across modes of expression (given surrealism's origins in the practice of automatic writing, and writing in general) and across eras in the development of established film practices
