Heavy metals are the most serious pollutants of great environmental concern because they are degradable and toxic. Cadmium is an essential trace nutrient for humans and animals. The deficiency of Cd leads to increase the physiological demand in aquaculture. The effect of cadmium metal on the bioaccumulation and histopathology of freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii post larvae were studied. The samples of M. rosenbergii post larvae were taken from Pusat Penternakan Udang Galah (PPUG), Perak. Post larvae were exposed to different concentrations of cadmium which are 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 ppb. After 96 hours exposure, the samples were used to investigate the histopathology test and bioaccumulation of cadmium in M. rosenbergii post larv...
