Purpose: To evaluate multifocal evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) patients with and without overlapping multifocal choroiditis (MFC). Methods: Thirty-four patients diagnosed between November 2008 and August 2018 at 2 hospitals were retrospectively reviewed. Multimodal imaging including optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) was assessed. Results: Twenty-seven (79%) patients were women (overall mean age, 30 years). Five developed MFC lesions in the affected eyes, and one developed MFC in the unaffected fellow eye. Another developed combined MEWDS and MFC in the fellow eye during follow-up.
