This thesis is a linguistic study that combines synchronic approach and diachronic perspectives. It examines in the western branch of Bantu, from a sample of nine (9) languages, the phonological branches which make it possible to discuss the genealogical unity of the B50-60-70 groups of Gabon. The main idea around which the research revolves comes from the conclusions of recent work in phylogenetic classification which proposes two clades for this subset, namely the B50-70 clade and the B60 clade. The study, by the traditional comparative method, essentially addresses historical changes on the vocalic, consonantal, tonal and syllabic level, highlighting the different rules and evolutionary processes in progress.
