Les géopatrimoines de la partie Nord-Est du géoparc régional du M’Goun (Moyen et Haut Atlas Central, Maroc) : Inventaire, évaluation et valorisation

The north-eastern part of the regional geopark of M'Goun is a mountainous area which is both part of the Atlas of Beni Mellal and its piedmont and of the central High Atlas. It covers a total area of 3045 km². The main objective of this study is to carry out an inventory of the geoheritage objects characteristic of the northeast part of the regional geopark of M'Goun by relying on a new inventory method adapted to the Moroccan context.The inventoried sites have a significant scientific value (0.57), linked specifically to their significant integrity (0.65), their remarkable representativeness of the regional geomorphology of the central limestone High Atlas (0.72) and their significant rarity (0.55). Additional values are evaluated with an average of 0.51, most of the geoheritages presenting important aesthetic qualities (0.70) and an interesting ecological importance (0.54) especially those which are in the biological with the cedar, endemic tree in the Moroccan Atlas. However, their socio-cultural value is low (0.28) and concerns only a very limited number of the studied sites. Their use value is high (0.62) because of their economic interest (0.54) (agriculture, tourism) and their good accessibility (0.68) and their good security conditions of visits (0.92). These geoheritage objects present a relevant touristic and geodidactic potential (0.68), but are still little recognized and not integrated in the planning of the national territory. However, enhancement efforts have been made thanks to local associations which organize tourist hikes to certain sites (Moudj canyon, Ain Asserdoune, Ain Askar, Ajojjar waterfall and Bouigandaz waterfall ect.). Finally, this study proposed geodidactic mediation actions (brochures and panels), a large geotourism crossing and a Webmapping application.La partie Nord-Est du géoparc régional du M'Goun est une zone montagneuse qui couvre l'Atlas de Beni Mellal et son piémont et le Haut Atlas central sur une superficie totale de 3045 km². L'objectif principal de cette étude est de réaliser un inventaire des géopatrimoines caractéristiques de cette partie Nord-Est du géoparc régional du M'Goun en s’appuyant sur une nouvelle méthode d'inventaire adaptée au contexte marocain. Les géopatrimoines inventoriés ont une valeur scientifique importante (0,57), liée spécifiquement à leur intégrité importante (0,65), leur représentativité remarquable de la géomorphologie régionale du Haut Atlas calcaire central (0,72) et leur rareté importante (0,55). On adjoint également des valeurs additionnelles dont la moyenne atteint (0,51), la majorité des géopatrimoines présentant des qualités esthétiques importantes (0,70) et descaractéristiques écologiques intéressantes (0,54) surtout ceux qui se trouvent dans la réserve biologique et écologique du col d’Ait Ouirra (El- Ksiba) et dans la vallée de Taadlount où se développe le cèdre, endémique dans l’Atlas marocain. Par contre, leur valeur socioculturelle est peu marquée (0,28) et ne concerne qu’un nombre très limité des géopatrimoines étudiés. Leur valeur d'usage est importante (0,62) du fait de leur intérêt économique (0,54) (agriculture, tourisme), leur bonne accessibilité (0,68) et la sécurité de leurs conditions de visite (0,92). Ces géopatrimoines présentent un potentiel géodidactique important (0,68) et touristique remarquable encore peu reconnu et non intégré dans l'aménagement du territoire national. Cependant, des efforts de valorisation ont été réalisés grâce à des associations locales qui organisent des randonnées touristiques vers certains sites (canyon Moudj, Ain Asserdoune, Ain Askar, cascade Ajojjar et cascade de Bouigandaz ect.). Finalement, cette étude propose des actions de médiation géodidactique (brochures et panneaux), une grande traversée géotouristique et une application Webmapping
