People are daily exposed, deliberately or not, to chemicals. Chemical exposure may lead to adverse effects in a short or long term. To characterize this risk, it is necessary to assess, in most of cases external (vs. internal) exposure to chemicals. Historically belonging to two distinct domains, the approaches, methods and tools used to assess these two kinds of exposures are different.The objective of this thesis is to establish the link between external and internal exposure assessment, by proposing a methodological strategy to integrate human biomonitoring data into health risk assessment.
