Doctor Pharmaceuticae - DPharmThe central nervous system (CNS), consisting of the brain and the spinal cord, is responsible for integrating sensory information and influencing most bodily functions . The CNS is protected from toxic and pathogenic agents in the blood by permeability barrier mechanisms.
