Regional Development and Spatial Planning

There are many levels of discussion on current challenges and issues facing regional development. One of them is the question of the existence of the cause and effect relation between regional and spatial developments. In the light of a current discourse about the European Union’s regional development as well as implementation of a number of new solutions concerning regional policy in Poland, especially in the urban development context, this issue deserves a special attention. In this article, regional and spatial developments in terms of strategic documents of the European Union and Poland for 2014-2020 were considered.
