Add to ORKGThis paper focuses on stained glass windows created from Jan Matejko’s design drawings, which were installed in the presbytery of the Przemyśl Cathedral. The iconographic analysis of this work of art, demolished in the wake of the World War II, reveals the complexity of its original design, full of religious and patriotic motifs. The paper presents attempts to circumscribe the analysis of the iconographic material within the historical context and to formally describe Matejko’s masterpiece
