The paper presents some aspects of modeling, simulation and optimization of the electrical machines excited by permanent magnets. For example the coreless disc-type machine a FEM model was created in Flux 3D, which was then coupled with the GOT-IT program, CEDRAT New Optimization Tool. The results of the mono-objective optimization using the adaptive algorithm were achieved. Analyzed the influence of geometrical parameters on the electromagnetic moment of the machine. The FEM optimized model of the disc-type PM machine by optimum geometrical parameters was presented
