Starting of pm synchronous motor supplied from inverter

The paper presents the results of starting calculations for a selected model of the surface mount permanent magnet synchronous motor (SMPMSM) supplied from inverter. The calculations were performed using the finite-element method in a field-circuit model of the motor. The calculations of synchronous starting were performed for U/f = constant and linear change of frequency during starting. The influence of change value of moment of inertia and initial position of the rotor on waveforms of the basic quantities during starting has been investigated
