In this paper problem of the early induction motors stator faults (the short-circuits) detection and localization supplied from the frequency converter is presented. The method based on the phase shift between stator phase currents is used for the monitoring of the stator winding condition. The special fault location indicator was introduced. The virtual measurement-diagnostic system has been developed implemented in LabVIEW. Possibility of early stator winding fault detection using neural detector is also checked
