In the paper the algorithm and control method of converter system of autonomous induction generator are presented. The mathematical model of the system was given. The methods of tuning of inverter current controllers in the AC side circuits, the generator voltage controller and the voltage controller in DC link voltage of converter are described. The system enables dynamic control of voltage at the stator terminals of an induction generator with various types of loads of the generator. The simulation results of the studies are presented in the second part of this article
