Rwanda is particularly interesting example of the economic success from the perspective of institutional development. It significantly improved the conditions of doing business during the last decade and is one of the most free countries across Sub-Saharan Africa (Heritage Foundation, 2019). In the article main institutional reforms are analyzed and compared to the other East African Community member states. The main aim is to identify the factors (institutional reforms) that helped Rwandan economy to transform and develop quickly during the last decade.
