The influence of time delay on classically and fuzzy controlled system dynamics is under investigation. Here, the time delay is increased while the parameters of the controller remains unchanged. The systems with classical PI controller and fuzzy PI controller were compared in a case of the same multiinertial object in order to facilitate reliable comparison. The investigation have been performed with aid of Mamdani and Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy controller. Moreover, the influence of increasing number of rules on fuzzy controlled system's operation quality, with occurrence of delayed function, was analyzed
