Biofeedback is a method of giving patients computerised feedback signals about changes in the physiological state of their body. This allows them to learn how to consciously modify functions not controlled consciously. This method allows active and conscious involvement of the patient in controlling their own physiological processes. The therapy aims to regulate the frequency of human brain waves.
