Selenite in the applied concentration changed the protein content in yeast dry mass only slightly in comparison to control cultures containing only sulfur. It increased, however, the free aminoacid fraction content in yeast cells and affected the quantitative composition of aminoacids. This effect, as compared to control, was more pronounced in Candida tropicaiis than in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The increase of the content of aminoacids and changes in their proportions may indicate that selenium affects protein synthesis in yeast cells and that it may be incorporated into organic combinations, namely cystine and methionine analogs.Przebadano wpływ różnych dawek seleninu sodu na plon białka drożdży Saccharomyces cerevisiae i Candida tropica...
