The main advantage of switched reluctance machine is a wide speed control range, a possibility to work with a constant power in a wide speed range and a high resistance to overloads. Thus this machine is well suitable to drive electric vehicles. In this paper four-phase Switched Reluctance Machine designed and made in the framework of the research project was studied to drive a light electric vehicle.
