Method of preliminary assessment of an induction motor rotor using a dedicated instrument based on the measurement of axial flux

Experience of the authors based on the laboratory and industrial measurements indicate that by measuring the axial flux of an induction machine it is possible to evaluate the condition of the rotor during operation. This measurement is easy to carry and, according to the authors, the method of diagnosis based on such a measurements is competitive with respect to MCSA method based on the analysis of current spectrum. By comparing the amplitudes of the time course of the flux, one can determine whether the rotor suffered any changes in the form of degradation of the cage. Filtering the signal in the proper band shows a clear dependence of signal level for the machinery from the range of degradation, including the number of bars damaged. For the purpose of quick preliminary comparative evaluation of the rotor cage condition, an instrument based on the measurement of the amplitude of the axial flux, has been designed and manufactured. The output signal of the instrument can also be recorded by the data acquisition card and used for detailed analysis of the spectrum that allows the further advanced diagnostics.Doświadczenia autorów w oparciu o pomiary laboratoryjne i przemysłowe wskazują, że poprzez pomiar strumienia poosiowego maszyny indukcyjnej można dokonywać oceny stanu wirnika podczas pracy. Pomiar ten jest łatwy do przeprowadzenia i wg autorów metoda diagnozowania oparta na takim pomiarze jest konkurencyjna w stosunku do metody MCSA, opartej na analizie widma prądu. Przez porównanie amplitud przebiegu czasowego strumienia można ocenić, czy w wirniku zaszły jakieś zmiany w postaci degradacji klatki. Odfiltrowanie sygnału we właściwym paśmie pokazuje wyraźną zależność poziomu sygnału dla danej maszyny od zakresu degradacji, w tym od liczby uszkodzonych prętów. Dla potrzeb szybkiej wstępnej oceny porównawczej stanu klatki zaprojektowano i wykonano przyrząd, oparty na pomiarze amplitudy strumienia poosiowego. Sygnał wyjściowy przyrządu może być także rejestrowany przez kartę pomiarową i posłużyć do szczegółowej analizy widmowej, umożliwiającej przeprowadzenie zaawansowanej diagnostyki
