The paper presents the possibility of using adaptive NMLS type filters applied to stator current signal for the noninvasive diagnostic of cage induction machines operating in dynamic states. To simulate variable work conditions in the laboratory, the variable load based on DC generator was used. The load control was done by the control of generator excitation current via microprocessor controlled IGBT transistor inverter. The asynchronous motor rotor can be replaced with specially prepared rotors with varying degrees of damage to the cage. The main attention was paid to the analysis of a short duration dynamic states and to analysis of changes of the slip oscillating around its value for rated speed.
