This paper presents elaborated cage induction machine diagnostics methods, tested on laboratory test bench. These methods allow for motor’s condition assessment basing on acoustic signals emitted by the machine during operation. Measurement results obtained for different machine faults were presented together with results of analyses of collected data using different signal processing methods. For diagnostic analyses, time-frequency STFT method and analysis of autocorrelation function’s envelope of acoustic signal were used. In conclusion of the paper, proposition of effective algorithm of fault type detection of induction machine basing on acoustic signal, was presented.
