The theory of institutional logics has become one of the most important theories for empirical research. It is represented in a vaste number of research topics. The purpose of this papers of theoretical character is description of development in the institutional logic concept and stipulation of vast possibilities for its application in the research on the spatial organization of economy - both for empirical researches and for methodological studies. The analysis here helps to situate the theory of institutional logics in the economic geography context
