Fertility Differences between Silvofishery Pond and Conventional Pond in Legonkulon, Subang District, Indonesia

This study was conducted to determine the fertility difference between silvofishery pond and conventional pond in Legonkulon, Subang, West Java. Sampling methods was used by collecting samples four times in the composite from five sampling points at six stations (three stations at silvofishery ponds and three stations at conventional ponds). The data were analyzed with comparative descriptive method. The results showed that average abundance of phytoplankton in the silvofishery pond is higher (1935 ind/l) than in the conventional pond (494 ind/l). Average abundance of zooplankton in the silvofishery pond found lower (383 individuals/L) than conventional pond (963 ind/l). Makrozoobenthos average abundance is not significantly different between silvofishery pond and conventional pond with average abundance of each 1162 and 1306 individuals/m2 respectively.
