INTRODUCTION Diseases of the uterine cervix are usually asymptomatic. Dysplasia may lead to cervical cancer, the third most common malignant neoplasia in women. Early diagnosis and treatment enable successful outcome. The aim of the study was to determine risk factors, signs, and indications for surgical procedures. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study group consisted of 141 patients with diff erent cervical lesions, treated surgically in Ob&Gyn Department. 69 women had dysplasia, 44 cervical with cancer, 19 with large cervical erosion and 9 with other disorders. D&C and conization was performed in 80 patients, Wertheim-Meigs procedure in 34, hysterectomy in 22, and other procedures in 5 women. Symptoms like pain, bleeding or whites were observed...
