Functional gastrointestinal disorders in infants and young children are one of the most common gastroenterological problems in this age group. Characteristic feature of this disorders is the lack of organic cause in the organs. The paper presents the definition of regurgitation and intestinal colic (according to the III Rome criteria), discusses the etiopathology of these problems and summarises the contemporary therapeutic methods. In addition to behavioural and pharmaceuticals (in lesser extent) methods, nutrition habits play a very important role in the treatment method.
