The study presents verification of the accuracy of the traditional hunters’ method of roe deer bucks age determination based on the assessment of mandibular tooth wear with the histological technique of age estimation from the number of layers in the secondary dentine or cementum in the fourth lateral tooth M1 or incisor I1. Moreover, the performed analyses enabled construction of pictorial tables for estimation of roe deer bucks age in the Polish hunting grounds using the traditional hunters’ method
