This article represents the analysis of different aspects of the English verb such as: word building, degree of proximity, functional completeness and word building. This article presents the results of the analysis of the various types of the English ergative verbs, in particular: phrasal verbs, analytic constructions and minor ones. In the article the connections of the paradigmatic elements of the ergative field of the verbs and their syntagmatic features are investigated. Purpose.
