The paper presents a model of memory challenging the one proposed by Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin, most commonly used to date and distinguishing short-term and long-term sensory memory. Based on the broad concept of neural circuit composed of several smaller circuits associated with particular senses, the paper indirectly refers to classification of memory proposed by Endel Tulving, distinguishing episodic and semantic memory, presenting selected aspects of working memory concept proposed by Alan Baddeley and Graham Hitch.
