Adoption process is viewed as integral and very important part in today’s social fabric. In recent years number of adoptions in Poland is in decline. However, there are still many families, deciding to take the challenge of this very demanding, although rewarding task, where welfare of a child is a principle goal. Child raising by an adoptive family is considerably more complex, than by biological parents, and requires additional effort to overcome emotional difficulties, sometimes on both sides. Main purpose of our work is providing exposure to the mental disorders in adopted children.
