Background. The inadequate fruit and vegetable intake is common for adults and children, while for children increasing intake is especially important, as intake during childhood predicts future adulthood intake. Objective. The aim of the study was to assess influence of the socio-demographic characteristics of mothers on their athome support of fruit and vegetable consumption in the national Polish sample. Material and methods. The study was conducted in a national representative sample of Polish mothers of children aged 3-10 (n=1200), who were recruited using a random quota sampling (quotas: age, education, region, size of city).
