On the occasion of the parasitological conference held in Sofia (X 1959), the author visited Bulgarian scientific institutions and got acquainted with their organization and their field-work. The actual scientific problems in Bulgarian parasitological establishments (medical as well as veterinarian ones) are discussed, particularly the practical achievements in many parts of Bulgaria due to hygienization of the rural regions, and radical measures taken on a large scale for eradication and combating parasites and helminths, in particular. For example the results are quoted obtained in the Stanke-Dimitrov region. There is drawn attention to the moments which should be followed in Poland and possibly in other countries
