The article focuses on innovative solutions undertaken in prisoner rehabilitation in chosen European countries: England and Wales, France, Germany, Spain and Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. New solutions implemented in systems of offender rehabilitation in these countries, which aim to avoid recidivism, are linked to the current tendency of liberalization of penal politics.
