Quality of life is an assessment of well-being, a sense of happiness and life satisfaction. Persons with disabilities, due to their state of health and physical condition, are characterized by a lower quality of life than non-disabled people. Many factors affect the level of life quality, including socio-economic and legal regulations. This article presents the situation of disabled people in selected European countries, with particular emphasis on the legal regulations relating to people with disabilities.
