The policy of supporting cluster initiatives in Poland

Klastry postrzegane są jako determinanta rozwoju i konkurencyjności każdej gospodarki. Tworząc sieć współpracy, klastry powodują zapotrzebowanie firm na powstawanie nowych relacji, nowych założeń i zaufania, podkreślając wartości, jakie przynosi partnerstwo i współudział. Celem artykułu jest próba oceny polityki wspierania inicjatyw klastrowych w Polsce.Clusters, are perceived as "catalysts" of progress and competitiveness of every economy. In Poland for a couple of years clusters have become the object of special interest of public authorities of different levels as well. However, despite the high rank attributed to that problem, the Polish policy in terms of cluster support − is ill-considered and of little effectiveness. The selection of proper instruments that support cluster development poses a peculiarly significant problem. They have to match the realities of the economy and region. The indicated issues are the subject-matter of this case study which is based on a series of profound studies on that matter and empirical research
