From the Transport System to the Macrologistic System or an Answer to New Conditions and Perspectives of Development

The main objective of the article is to point to the necessity of changes in the approach to transport systems and the ways of analyzing and diagnosing problems within them, irrespective of the level - local, regional, national or international. Heading towards the objective, the author focuses on presenting conditions and global civilization trends which create new perspectives of economic development, yet providing that decision makers will see the ever-growing role of logistics at the macroeconomic scale; they will discard their narrow view through the transport sector and look toward the logistic sector; and they will replace traditional transport policy with logistic policy
