The Theoretical Basis of Sustainable Energy

The concept of sustainable development is slowly deploying into various sectors of the economy. In the European Union, one of the areas where this idea is used is energy. The concept of sustainable energy is widely used and intuitively construed, however, it is difficult to discern the full definition of this phenomenon. The purpose of this article is to define the concept of "sustainable energy". It takes into account both the issue of permanence, as well as the inclusion of social and environmental needs for economic development. Moreover, the text consist general characterization of the main areas where application of this concept is possible
