The current economic crisis leads to reflection on the state of economic theory. There is a very popular view, that some kind of radical change of the current paradigm is desirable. In this article, this thesis is negated. Analysis of two main theoretical approaches shows that the crisis has not undermined the stability of any of them. Both, supporters of Keynesian-rooted theories and followers of Chicago school's ideas, recognize events of recent years for empirical evidence supporting their theories. The main reason for this is that what is considered as economic facts, it is created along with theories and is usually coherent with them
